Pictoplasma Paris

Turns out my little missing link character will be featured as part of the Pictoplasma Missing Link Research Exhibition at the Museum la Gaîté Lyrique in Paris this December. It will be one of 500 drawings that were also selected for the exhibit. Really excited to be a part of the Pictoplasma movement.

If you happen to be in Paris this December, you can check out the info here:

A few designs that didnt make it

A few designs for a project I'm working on that didn't make it into the final version. I actually have a little soft spot for that Grandfather, but just wasn't able to fit him in.

Animation Insider interview

I had a little interview featured on Animation Insider today and thought Id post a link up in if anyone was interested in checking it out. Thanks to Mike Milo for putting this together!

chicken bone in progess

Just finished the line art on a new Chicken Bone comic. I thought it might be fun to post it on here before the color gets added to show the process.

take my drawing!

I printed up this drawing a little while ago and never ended up using it so thought I'd offer it to anyone who wants it. It's 16 X 20 and printed on a .75 inch canvas. It even comes framed! Just add a comment on this post, something like "Ill take it" or "yes please", and on Sunday (August 14th) I'll randomly choose one of the people who commented to send it to. I'll even pay the postage! What ya got to lose!

Here's what the original drawing looks like:

Rob Ford

Here's a little drawing I did of Toronto mayor Rob Ford. I apologize about the crudeness of this one ( although I censored this version for the sake of any children out there). Its inspired by recent news of our Mayor flippin birds at little girls that ask him to get off his cell phone while driving. The Good the Bad and the Ugly art show

Here's a photo of my actual piece from the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly art show. If you'd like to check out the rest of the artwork by some really talented contributors, please follow this link to a facebook group with photos. enjoy!

you must be at least this tall to enter

This is a little drawing that I did a while back with the intention of transferring onto a wall in my place by the front door. I even got a hold of a little projector, but just never found the time to get it done. The drawing turned out reminding me a lot of something that Scott Macdonald may of done in his earlier years, so I'm going to go ahead and thank him for the inspiration.

The Good the Bad and the Ugly art show

My piece from the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly show. Drawn and colored in Flash and then tinkered with in Photoshop.

county ghost - episode 5

After a two year hiatus, I'm happy to post the most recent episode of the County Ghost series - episode 5 "The Gift of Ghost"

Felix Flankin

A little drawing of Felix Flankin from the Mad Monster Party

the good the bad and the ugly show

Really excited to be a part of this show in Toronto later in June. There is a king's random in talent involved, so if you can make it, we'd be happy to see you there. It should be a good one!

drawing and clean up process

I've had a few inquiries as to my drawing and clean up process, so I thought I'd do a quick example of how I go at it.

cat on a tire

I noticed a little preview for the i-phone game I've been making with Industrial Bros is up on their website this week. Not sure when the actual game will be released but it's exciting none the less.

Strange Kids Club Anthology

Just received my copy of the Strange Kids Club Anthology in the mail and it looks really great.
Special thanks for Rondal Scott III for putting this together.

a little working update

A little update as to what I've been working on these days.

I just finished up working on season 3 of Jimmy Two Shoes.
I was somehow involved in it from design all the way through animation.
Can't say enough for working on a great looking show with some great people.

I'm midway through a production on a pilot for a cool children's show called "The Adventures of Napkin Man". The style is very "School House Rock" so it's been great fun to play with.
More info on the project here.

I'm also working on my first I-Phone game with a company called Industrial Bros.
I probably shouldn't say too much about this one until it's release, but here's a piece of a corner of a menu just to show it does actually exist.

I also just drew up a few ideas for "Cuddle Sticks 2" this weekend. I'm still undecided if it's a good or a bad idea to start crossing that bridge again. I guess we'll see how she pans out.

good ship

A little logo I did a while brainstorming with some friends called "good ship"
it never got used but still kinda liked this one.

Jimmy Two Shoes Title Cards

I noticed over on Steve Lamb's blog that he posted a whack of title card he did for Jimmy Two Shoes, so I guess it's OK for me to post the ones I did as well.
I ended up getting some of the overflow from those since he was so busy with other things.
Steve is the master of these things so if you want to check out some really cool looking ones, please click on his link.

A few more to come soon...

Strange Kids Club Anthology

I guess its ok to show this now since its a part of the preview on Fuel Your Illustration. Its a comic I did as part of the Strange Kids Club Anthology.
I wanted to try something different with the colors on this one but am still on the fence about if I like how they turned out or not, in any case, I've included the line art in case the color version is not your cup o' tea.
*You can click on the artwork for an enlarged version.
