Strange Kids Club Anthology

Just received my copy of the Strange Kids Club Anthology in the mail and it looks really great.
Special thanks for Rondal Scott III for putting this together.

a little working update

A little update as to what I've been working on these days.

I just finished up working on season 3 of Jimmy Two Shoes.
I was somehow involved in it from design all the way through animation.
Can't say enough for working on a great looking show with some great people.

I'm midway through a production on a pilot for a cool children's show called "The Adventures of Napkin Man". The style is very "School House Rock" so it's been great fun to play with.
More info on the project here.

I'm also working on my first I-Phone game with a company called Industrial Bros.
I probably shouldn't say too much about this one until it's release, but here's a piece of a corner of a menu just to show it does actually exist.

I also just drew up a few ideas for "Cuddle Sticks 2" this weekend. I'm still undecided if it's a good or a bad idea to start crossing that bridge again. I guess we'll see how she pans out.

good ship

A little logo I did a while brainstorming with some friends called "good ship"
it never got used but still kinda liked this one.

Jimmy Two Shoes Title Cards

I noticed over on Steve Lamb's blog that he posted a whack of title card he did for Jimmy Two Shoes, so I guess it's OK for me to post the ones I did as well.
I ended up getting some of the overflow from those since he was so busy with other things.
Steve is the master of these things so if you want to check out some really cool looking ones, please click on his link.

A few more to come soon...

Strange Kids Club Anthology

I guess its ok to show this now since its a part of the preview on Fuel Your Illustration. Its a comic I did as part of the Strange Kids Club Anthology.
I wanted to try something different with the colors on this one but am still on the fence about if I like how they turned out or not, in any case, I've included the line art in case the color version is not your cup o' tea.
*You can click on the artwork for an enlarged version.

stump animated

i thought id try to mix things up a bit with my "stump"comic this week and see what the characters looked liked animated.
here's also a quick peek at what the comic looked like before the movement.

spike and mike on the very big screen

well this is pretty cool,
on march 7th, the spike and mike sick and twisted animation festival, which features my film cuddle sticks among many other wonderful films, will be playing in cineplex colossus and silvercity theaters across canada.
who knew my little film would be available to see on the big screen!
quite exciting.

a little bit of animation

i know its been a while since i posted any animation on this blog, so here are a few scenes that i animated myself while supervising on an episode of "fish hooks" (my animation ends after milo runs into the door).

hourly comic day

I happened to come across a twitter hashtag yesterday called #hourlycomicday and thought I'd be fun to give it a shot.
Unfortunately, I found it wouldn't be possible to do it for the length of the entire day, but these are the product of the 3 hours I was able to participate.

monsier yeti

Although admittedly a stretch for someone with a Himalayan background, I really wanted to name this fellow "Spaghetti".
But after some research, I found out that an explorer by the name of Reinhold Messner, who is renown for climbing the worlds 14 largest mountains (including the Himalayas) was none other than Italian, and it suddenly all made sense again.
Hence forth...."Spaghetti the Yeti"

the female anatomy

this is a drawing from a presentation i gave at the ottawa animation festival last year.
and yes, i absolutely studied female anatomy.......what, this doesn't look right to you?
