The end of a blog era
I'm finally able to admit (possibly about 5 years later than anyone else) that the blogger era is probably over.
I held on as long as I could, but as my posts and audience has shrunk, updating here probably doesn't make that much sense any more.
That all said, I will be continuing to post new updates over on my website rather than this blogger format at the following address:
http://www.mikegeiger.com/news
Please feel free to join me over there, and Ill do my best to keep it full of as much new artwork as I can.
Hope to see you there, and thanks for all the support of the years!!!

"I feel super" app review
Received a wonderful review of my I FEEL SUPER app on Studycat that I wanted to share. Seeing this kind of response to my work is what makes it all worth doing.
I feel Super is a wonderful story app from developer Mike Geiger.
The first things that will jump out at you are the fantastic graphics. The pages in the story are all very well designed and laid out. The color scheme is also really cool. As you may have guessed from the title, it’s all about feeling super and what makes our hero feel super. On each page there is a simple interactive element and a short sentence with a picture. The things that our super friend does are all great. He hugs trees, plays music and eats up all his vegetables. All these things inspire a super feeling. This app is great for kids. It is beautifully designed and full of positive messages. The interactivity on the pages is simple, and it’s accompanied by cool sound effects. The page with the stars is my personal favourite. If you love I Feel Super as much as I do, you will also love I Feel Brave.

TAAFI 2014
I realize I'm way overdue on this, but wanted to throw a post out there about how much I enjoyed my TAAFI experience this year.
I was a part of two events, the first being a workshop on making short films, and the second a panel on "Creating Success".
While I could spend the next two paragraphs apologizing for my nervousness getting the better of me while delivering the workshop, I'll save the space for a note on all the other fun stuff about the festival that was super enjoyable.
Great old friends, the opportunity to meet some new ones, a terrific group of volunteers, and the feeling of being a part of a really supportive and creative atmosphere made the weekend a memorable one.
The festival does seem to be growing up and felt like this year in particular had a nice community vibe thanks to the addition of the TAAFI marketplace.
Thanks again to Barney, and Rich, and Mike, and Ben at TAAFI for the invite, and Canadian Animation Resources for hosting me in their booth along with their other guests.
Looking forward to next year!
